Yes and no. If too young and not mentally matured the student might not be able to grasp the theoretical parts which are crucial for a sound understanding of the system and its application. If too old, the mind and body might be too set in certain ways which have been reinforced throughout many years/decades and it can become quite challenging to un-learn certain bad habits (body mechanics in particular, but also mental aspects), but of course there are always exceptions to regarding this potential issue.

This depends on multiple factors, such as commitment, perseverance, intellectual grasp of the theoretical teaching, individual's ability to perform the required body mechanics etc.

Simply put: "Input equals output", that being said, it is highly recommended to at least attend trainings twice per week, however, more is better.
